H&M HAUL

Hello lovelies!

Shopping for uni is stressful!

I have been pulling my hair out trying to find some duvet covers that I like and then trying to decide on how I want to decorate my new uni room - one moment I think I want to go shabby chic and the next I want monochrome and modern. I'm still not completely 100% decided but I've been slowly but surely collecting all sorts of little things so it seems my room will be a nice mix.

On my search for duvets covers I came across some very lovely ones on the H&M website in their HOME section and found my eye immediately drawn to this Lynx duvet cover:

Now the reason I was so drawn to this cover was because during my  long search I found these duvet covers from By Nord

And they are absolutely gorgeous and I want them so much, but they're priced at around £90 for a single and I'm a poor student! I just couldn't justify paying that much for a duvet cover!!!

*sigh*

But I digress, after finding the lovely lynx cover (in the kids section but no one will be the wiser ;P) I browsed the website thoroughly to waste some time and found myself adding some items to my basket :)

distressed, high-waisted, bodycon, midi skirt
berry coloured, roll up hem, slouchy beanie
All through last winter I lived in my black ASOS beanie, so with autumn approaching I thought I'd get a new beanie in one of my absolute fav colours for fall/winter - berry!

top: liquid lilac eyeliner
bottom: solid black kohl eyeliner pencil

black cross body handbag with metal accents
I bought this little handbag with the intention to use it to help ship all my little bits and bobs of sewing equipment to and from classes. Inside it's just a plain black lining with no pockets but I thought it'd be a much more stylish than carrying something like a toolbox.

multi-coloured days of the week underwear

I thought these panties were so cute and preppy, I couldn't resist! The font is very similar (if not exact) to the font that Victoria's Secret PINK use.

sparkly nail polish "jo is in the house"

I have such nostalgia wearing this nail polish! I can remember being 7 years old and slicking my nails with similar sparkly nail polish for a friends birthday party. I applied 3 coats to get the above effect and then topped it off with Essie's No Chips Ahead top coat.

I'M BACK!

Hello lovelies!

I am so, so naughty for not posting anything in such a long time BUT I was focusing my Final Major Project for college (of which I needed a Distinction to get into uni!) so it was sort of a long-time hiatus. As for not posting over the summer... well, nothing interesting has really happened worth blogging about. Well... a few things happened so expect some posts soon!

EXCITING NEWS!

I did get my distinction and I'm super proud to announce that in less than a month I will be packing my bags and moving on down to LONDON (*screams*) to study Fashion Design at the University of Westminster!!

I am both extremely excited and absolutely terrified!

I'm already pre-enrolled on the course and have even met some of my future classmates via Facebook. I've gotten almost all my equipment but have yet to start on the assigned project, which is to create two moodboards on my personal loves and hates to present to the class :)

Also I'm freaking out because the first day of induction WE'RE GOING TO LONDON FASHION WEEK (*faints*)

It doesn't feel real right now, I can't believe it's happening to me!

What the hell do I wear!?!!?

Thanks for sticking around followers <3 xx
Until next time,

URBAN OUTFITTERS CAMDEN LAUNCH PARTY

Hello lovelies!

I was invited to the Urban Outfitters Camden Store Launch Party!
The event was open to the public and was packed! It was so, so busy! There was a DJ, Temporary Tattos, free drinks and even a photo booth to entertain the masses.

free beer!

whilst waiting around for the piƱata draw, me and yvette went and had a drink at The World's End! It's not the actual pub from the film but it was the pub where Simon Pegg had his first date with his wife! It was very cool, blaring punk pirate metal music and connected to another bar in the middle of an inside courtyard lined with the structure of old shops!

My name wasn't called out unfortunately for the draw (which is a huge bummer because the £500 gift voucher was in the beach ball that I would have chosen!) but there was a lot of free candy which I gathered up from the floor ;D

Until next time,
